We Need Your Backing Through The Turnstiles Said Hereford Chairman

In his New Year message to supporters, Hereford chairman Jon Hale has stressed the need for good gates at home games.

Earlier this week the home game against Gloucester was called off because of Covid in the squad. That postponement was costly as it's highly unlikely as many will watch the re-arranged game on a Tuesday evening.

Worse still would be if Sunday's match against Kidderminster is called off as a good attendance is expected.

To date this season gates at Edgar Street have averaged 1728.

"The level of support we have received this season has been strong, and vociferous, but we know we have to keep working to get back some of the laxed supporter base," said Hale.

"Results of course help, but we have to ensure we are reaching out to everyone, so you all know how appreciated your support is.

"When we sit down early in the New Year to have discussions on next season’s budgets, it would be great to do so on the back of some strong January attendances and onwards.

"We need your backing through the turnstiles, of that there is no doubt."
