"We Weren't Quite At It" Said Vermiglio

Chorley manager Jamie Vermiglio admitted his side wasn't 'quite at it' after Hereford won yesterday's game 1-0 at Edgar Street.

"‘It was a tough, fairly even game against a very good side.

"Two good sides going at it.

"Their record isn't great at home but a lot has been said about them being in a false situation.

"They're a good football team with decent resources. Good manager, they played a good system.

"I know they've dominated a lot of their games and they've not been able to get the goals and with the greatest respect you can see why because they get into really good positions and then they try and play another pass so we got out of jail. With one or two of the opportunities they created they should have had a shot on target but they didn't.

"I'll give them their win, and give them credit. It's something they've been dying to get for their last few games and to stop their little rut.

“We were 10 games unbeaten which is no mean feat in any league, let alone this one, but there’s no disguising the fact that we weren’t quite at it today.”
