In his post match interview after yesterday's win against Chester, Josh Gowling spoke about the two cup ties this coming week. The first in the HFA Cup is against Westfields on Tuesday and the second in the FA Trophy is against Kidderminster on Saturday. Both are at Edgar Street.
"As form is at the moment you want to continue so I'd rather have a league game than a cup game," said the Hereford manager.
"The Westfields game, there are a lot of lads in the squad who have not played minutes so they will be playing.
"We've got some young lads who did well when they played in the County Cup game so they will be playing as well.
"It gives the lads and players an opportunity to stake a claim for Saturday's game against Kidderminster."
Kidderminster, it's always added spice?
"Slightly! I think half our team are from Kidderminster. I played there for a long time and a few of the boys know about them.
"It's FA Trophy and we did well in that last year.
"I'd like to go one better to be honest but first and foremost we've got a tough test against Kiddy who have been doing well, they are up there in the league.
"They are going guns blazing in the FA Cup, they've got Halifax now.
"So it's going to be a tough game but we fancy ourselves against anyone here."
