| Hereford V Newcastle 1972 |
February 5th 2022 is the 50th anniversary of Hereford United’s famous FA Cup win over Newcastle United with that goal. To mark this occasion Talking Bull are planning to produce a special edition of their fanzine containing memories of the cup run through the eyes of the fans.
To make this a publication worthy of such a wonderful piece of Hereford football history Talking Bull need your great stories. It can be about anything you recall about the below games, the many postponements, hard luck tales about why you missed games - even that game, how you got to the various grounds, who you went with, what pubs etc. you went to, things you remember about the matches, the stadiums, the fans, the atmospheres, players you bumped in to along the way, how you celebrated the Newcastle win, any music that reminds you of that period, and no doubt many other things that make up what football is about. If you have any photos that were taken along the way they will be most welcome.
Below is a list of the games to get you started. Don’t worry if the memories are sketchy Talking Bull will try and find a home for them somewhere.
