Gowling Expects Kidderminster To Be 'Very Competitive'

Towards the end of his match post Westfields interview, Hereford manager Josh Gowling spoke about next Saturday's FA Trophy Tie against Kidderminster.

Last night (Tuesday) Kidderminster won their National North League game at Gloucester 3-1.

"They've had a good start to the season, they are flying high." said Gowling.

"They are a full time team with a good management team, they play good football and they are free-scoring at the moment.

"So it is going to be a tough game, we know that.

"But we back ourselves against anyone so we'll see what they do when they come here on Saturday.

Kidderminster remain in the FA Cup with a game against Halifax. Should they win that them there's the prospect of a glamour third round tie. Will that take precedence for then?

"It's a difficult one isn't it. Obviously the finances of the FA Cup are massive and I think they will look at Halifax at home as a very winnable game and then all of a sudden they can possibly get a Premier League side.

"Obviously they'll have one eye on that but I know them the assistant manager especially, they'll want to win every game they play so I expect them to come and be very competitive."

Hereford trained on Monday and some of those players carrying injuries took part.

"Harry has still got a little niggle in his groin, he's done some work today (Tuesday)

"It's good to have Yan back (he played against Westfields)

"Fozzy is still working on his ankle, he's going to be a bit of a while.

"Ben has done a bit of work and he was going to see the doctor because of what happened at the weekend.

"Miles is still out.

"We're getting closer to full strength."
