Pa Sulay Nje was named on Hereford's substitute bench yesterday at Boston.
He is a 29 year old former Gambia under 20 striker who has had spells at Worcester and Sutton Coldfield.
Steve Burr spoke about Pa in his post match interview.
"Pa's here, he's just bolstered the squad," said Burr.
"He's been in with us for a few weeks but we've not really seen enough of him yet.
"He's been in training and he may get his opportunity quicker than he thinks.
"It's one of those at the moment who with the injuries that we've got and obviously missing one or two today which hasn't helped.
"We'll monitor him, we're looking to having a game on Tuesday night and give one or two lads who need a game and he'll play in that so we can have a good look at him.
"He came in from an agent about a month ago and he's been in and around training with us but I don't know much about him."
Burr also revealed why Ryan Lloyd didn't play.
"He's got Covid."
