Hereford have issued the following statement after racist comments were allegedly made during yesterday's game at Alfreton.
We are aware of alleged racist comments made during yesterday’s game at Alfreton.
We are extremely proud of the diversity within Hereford FC and are appalled at the thought of any racist comments being made by supporters at any time.
Racism and discrimination has no place in football, and Hereford FC has a zero tolerance to any kind of discriminatory behaviour.
We take any allegations of racism and discrimination very seriously and will be working with Alfreton and the Police to conduct a thorough investigation.
We are therefore appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information. Any information received will be treated in the strictest confidence.
