Yates Joins Gainsborough

 

Goalkeeper Matt Yates has teamed up with Gainsborough Trinity after impressing whilst on trial.

Now 22, Yates joined Derby County as a nine year old but was recently released.

He played for Hereford on loan during part of the 2018/19 season.

"I’m delighted to have signed here," said Yates.

"I’ve been in training for the past month or so and have really enjoyed it. The gaffer and players have made me feel really welcome and I can’t wait to get started. I feel it’s a great opportunity for myself and hope to help the team progress up the table."
