The inquest into the death of Lee Collins took place today.
Collins played for Hereford United when Graham Turner was manager. Recently he was captain of Yeovil.
The 32 year old had battled with alcohol addiction for some years. He had also gambled heavily.
He was found dead in a hotel room after failing to turn up for training last March. Tests showed both alcohol and cocaine in his body.
The coroner decided that Collins had taken his own life.
