Lewis Butroid who played for Hereford in the FA Trophy Final at Wembley last May has joined Gainsborough Trinity.
Butroid came to Edgar Street on loan from Scunthorpe in late February.
He was released by Scunthorpe at the end of the season and recently went on trial at Grimsby.
However earlier today came news he had joined up with Gainsborough.
"He is predominantly a left full back, but I see him being able to play a few roles within our system," said Gainsborough manager Tom Shaw.
"He has turned down other really good
opportunities, and better financial offers to join what we are trying
to create at Gainsborough."
