Two More Hereford Legends At Cinderford On Saturday

Two more former Hereford United legends will be at Cinderford on Saturday for their Centenary game.

Colin Addison and Peter Isaac will be joined by Kevin Rose and Stewart Phillips.

Former Bulls goalkeeper Kevin Rose, the Evesham born stopper, made 268 appearances for the club before moving onto Bolton Wanderers, Carlisle United, Rochdale and finally Kidderminster Harriers in career totalling nearly 400 football league appearances.

He was also capped twice for the England semi pro side. Kevin was a very good solid keeper who was very popular with Hereford fans, he now lives in Ross on Wye.

Joining Kevin will be one of the most popular figures to ever grace Edgar Street -  Striker Stewart Phillips.

A Hereford fan as a child he was there for both the Newcastle and West Ham FA cup games in 1972.
Phillips made his debut 22nd April 1978 at the age of 16 when still at school, he went to score 95 league goals in two spells with the club.

He also played for West Brom, Swansea, and Wrexham in a very good career

But it is at Edgar Street he will always be fondly remembered for the goals he scored especially in front of the Meadow End, he still lives in Hereford and is a well known figure cycling around the City.

And is probably still fit enough to play Saturday.
