Most Chester Season Ticket Holders Say No To Refunds

Chester City sold just under 900 season tickets for the season just ended. Purchasers were only able to watch one game but despite that the vast majority have said they do not want a refund.

"When we went out with season tickets at the start of the year, we acknowledged there was a lot of uncertainty about what would be happening," said Chairman Andrew Morris as reported by CheshireLive.

"I don’t think we expected we would only have one game with supporters and we would have the plug pulled on us in February. But we did acknowledge there was a jump of faith by supporters to invest in the club with season tickets.

"So, when we did that we said there would be an offer of a refund should the season be curtailed or should people be unable to watch games.

"We have written to all our supporters who had season tickets asking what they wish to do now the season has ended.

"We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the individuals who are willing to donate and allow the club to keep the money and forego their refund."
