20,000 Spectators At FA Trophy Final?

Hereford Supporters At Wembley In May 2016

With the news that the FA Cup final is expected to be watched by 20,000 fans on May 15th, according to a report in the Telegraph, it's thought that the same criteria will hold for May 22nd when the FA Trophy final is set to take place.

However the FA Vase final is also set to take place on the same day.

In the past supporters have been able to watch both finals and so there has been a total attendance of 30,000 or more.

When Hereford played in the FA Vase in 2016 the club took close to 20,000 supporters to the final.

Given that whoever gets to the final will want to have as many of their fans there as possible, it looks as though the FA will need to change the arrangements from previous years because of Covid-19 regulations.

One way might be to have a larger interval between the two games so that the stadium can be 'emptied'.

And, perhaps, only allow supporters to watch one of the finals thus allowing more club supporters to purchase a ticket for their final.

Of course Hereford haven't cemented their place at Wembley as yet, there's the little matter of Woking FC in the way.

But confidence is high at Edgar Street that Woking can be defeated and a second trip to Wembley is on the cards.

Should that happen, demand for Wembley tickets will almost certainly outstrip availability.

Hopefully that availability will be as high as possible in the circumstances.
