Reports suggest that there will be a National League Board meeting around lunchtime today.
Tomorrow the Board are expected to have a 'zoom' meeting with all the member clubs.
It is thought the meeting will discuss the financial situation facing clubs after it was made known that any additional funding this season was likely to be in loans not grant.
Suggestions have been made that some clubs, mainly in the National North and South, would be happy if the season ended. They feel that without more grant money they risk going under.
Concorde Rangers chairman Ant Smith has commented about the situation.
'I personally would 100% be behind any clubs who wish to make a stand in not playing there fixture this Saturday. I’m pretty sure it is the only way we will get the attention that is required, we have seen how long it takes to get answers if you just nod your head and say ok.
'I see clubs signing additional players back in September when the funding was announced, I’d imagine a few are regretting those signings now, unless you have owners with a money tree to pick from, no club can get through without any income Streaming revenue is not even close.
'Now we know exactly why Mr Tattersall run to the hills, he made us promises and obviously knew they were not going to be fulfilled. He has personally put many “elite”clubs in a severely difficult financial position.'
Footnote: Michael Tattersall was until recently CEO of the National League.
