It's being reported that that the National League will receive their £11million funding in loans rather than grants.
Many clubs are therefore extremely concerned about the funding situation and reluctant to take on loans. It is understood that the league will meet with clubs on Wednesday to discuss the situation and are encouraging clubs to contact their local MP to ask them to lobby the DCMS.
Their is now a chance that the season could be suspended, with some clubs preferring to furlough players and staff rather than continuing with the campaign.
