It's A Good Point Said Gowling

Hereford manager Josh Gowling was pleased with a draw and a clean sheet this afternoon at Leamington especially as he was short of several players including striker Lenell John-Lewis.

"Leamington are very good at what they do," Gowling told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"They turn balls in, they look for second balls.

"It was a difficult surface, when you are on it it's a real difficult surface.

"Playing two games in 48 hours doesn't help.

"But I thought the lads were excellent, they stood up to the challenge.

"I would have liked us to play a little bit more but the surface was very difficult.

"I think the periods of the game when we did play, we cut them open and created opportunities.

"Away from home to get a clean sheet , we're disappointed we haven't won, but at the end of the day it's a good point."

Gowling had to change his back four again this afternoon.

"Luke Haines has dropped in there and I thought he was excellent.

"Lloyd is not a natural left back.

"But I think the good thing is that they are listening to what we do in training and all the lads know each position which is good so they can slot into areas and it's not too much of a change so it was really pleasing."

George Forsyth had his first start for Hereford.

"I thought he gave us a bit of steel in mid-field."
