Draw at Leamington maintains Hereford's unbeaten run

Hereford are now unbeaten in five games in all competitions following a battling 0-0 draw at Leamington this afternoon.

Both sides had chances, but in truth the match was scrappy devoid of much quality so both sides will be happy with a point.

Hereford manager Josh Gowling made three changes to the side that beat Kidderminster just two days previously.

Leading marksman Lenell John-Lewis missed out due to a hamstring injury so was replaced by Kelsey Mooney, while George Forsyth and Giles Coke came in for Yan Klukowski and James McQuilkin respectively.

Former Hereford loanee Taylor Allen had the first chance of the game when the Leamington recruit shot straight at Brandon Hall in the Bulls goal, while at the other end Chris Camwell blazed well over.

Allen then fizzed a ball across the face of the goal in the 12th minute but was unable to pick out a teammate, while four minutes later, Tom Owen-Evans did likewise for Hereford.

Both sides had chances throughout the rest of the half but without causing either keeper into too much trouble.

Three minutes into the second half, Forsyth headed wide before Hereford had the best chance of the game in the 54th minute. However, Kelsey Mooney clipped the ball over the bar after being set up by Camwell.

Owen-Evans then fired over just past the hour mark, while at the other end, Taylor's effort just went over the bar.

Luke Haines later blazed a shot over for the Bulls, but that effort was few and far between and it ended goalless.
