The National League is set to receive a further £11million fund as part of a £300million Government rescue package to help sports that have been affected by Covid-19.
Club at Steps 1 and 2 have already received £10million from the National Lottery, which covered the period from October to December. Therefore, it is understood that this latest fund, part of a Sports Winter Survival Package, will be from January to March.
Further details will follow and it will be interesting to see how the National League will allocate it among their member clubs.
Many clubs - including Hereford - were angry that their allocation was much smaller than other members whose average attendances are far lower.
