A Draw At Hereford Is A Good Result Said Vermiglio

Chorley FC manager Jamie Vermiglio was disappointed to have conceeded late in the game at Edgar Street this afternoon after going 2-1 ahead but overall he seemed pleased with his side's performance.

"It's got to be positive really," said Vermiglio.

"We're away from home. To take a draw away from Hereford is a good result. A draw away from home in any league is generally a good result.

"My over-riding feeling at the moment is one of sheer frustration, one of annoyance, with the way the game evolved.

"We were probably a little bit short in the first half, they looked the more dominant team.

"We looked more likely to score in some ways with more clear cut chances. They had one in the half. But they were the better side in the first half.

"Second half first ten minutes we were sluggish and slow. Changed the shape a little bit and as a result of that we got on the front foot. There was confidence about us.

"We got ourselves in to the game, scored a good goal with a deflected shot which we probably deserved on the second half balance of play.

"But I feel really frustrated with that last five/ten minutes when we could have shut up shop.

"We conceeded a corner. Their lad has beaten one of us in the air, it's going to happen. Could have been cleared off the line I thought.

"They were only going to come at us so a sense of frustration at the end.

"But when I reflect a draw away from home at Hereford is a good result."
