We're Going To Guiseley To Get A Result Said Gowling

Hereford manager Josh Gowling says he is positive about the game at Guiseley tomorrow. However, he is expected to be without several of his squad in particular striker Lenell John-Lewis who was sorely missed at Stafford last Tuesday.

"We're going there to get a result simple as that," said Gowling.

"The lads know if they want to keep their shirts they are going to have to perform on Saturday.

"We did well at Southport, we should have won the game but we go to Guiseley expecting to win.

"I expect a better performance on Saturday."

The continued absence of striker Lenell John-Lewis is worrying.

"Someone of the likes of Lenny who holds the ball up and brings people into play is always going to be a miss.

"At this level when you miss your big players it makes a massive difference.

"He won't be back for the weekend.

"He's got a bit of ankle ligament damage.

"Hopefully we'll get him back in the next couple of weeks."

Gowling's other striker Demetri Brown will also miss the game.

"We're waiting results on his scan from the Chippenham game when the goalie landed on his knee. We're waiting to see what that looks like.

"We are trying to get a couple in. We were on the verge of getting one in and then one of their lads got injured.

"We've been trying to get Luke in from pre-season but it's been difficult because of the 'bubble'. Swindon wouldn't let him come here because of cross-training. It's a bit of a stumbling block at the moment."

Dylan Jones joined the club earlier this week and had a short spell late in the game last Tuesday.

"Dylan was at Newport pre-season on trial there. He's a big strong lad, powerful, quick, full of energy.

"He's been with us a while and he gives us options as he can play right back, midfield and up top so gives us a bit of variation."
