There have been no goals in the first 45 minutes between Southport and Hereford at a blustery Haig Avenue.
Kyle Finn went close to opening the scoring for the Bulls in the fifth minute, but his long range effort was tipped over the bar by former Hereford United keeper Dan Hanford.
The home keeper again denied Finn and Tom Owen-Evans, while at the other end, Hereford number one Paul White was left in 'no-mans land' as Jack Sampson looped a header over him and onto the crossbar.
