Hereford FC defender Jamie Grimes spoke to Keith Hall after this afternoon's 1-0 win at Guiseley.
"As a group we said after the game (at Stafford) that it just wasn't good enough and we were all disappointed," said Grimes.
"We wanted to bounce back quickly and it's important if you want to be successful that you bounce back quickly and I think we did that today.
"They threw a lot at us second half and I feel we can play with the patterns the Gaffer works on.
"We defended well, we defended when we needed to, that's what we are there for."
Hereford went into the lead with a penalty in the first half. Would a second goal have killed Guiseley off?
"That's what we strived to do second half.
"They got on top and we didn't quite do what we wanted. We're not playing well at the minute in that sense but we're picking up a result which is the pleasing thing.
"We've got a lot of experence, we work on a lot of things, on the patterns the Gaffer wants us to play and you can see that when we do get our foot on it and we do get the ball moving, we're hard to get the ball off.
"And when we come to places like this and we get a goal, we want to be able to keep the ball, we want to try and control the game. A little bit disappointed today that we didn't but we got the result."
You seem to be throughly enjoying it?
"I'm enjoying it, I've enjoyed every game so far.
"Tuesday night was disappointing but I enjoy the lads I'm playing with, I enjoy the way we are playing.
"Hopefully at a home game we can get on the front foot and score some goals."
Grimes was asked about his partnership with Jack Wright.
"He's had a great career, he talks and I think we've got a good partnership. We just keep things simple and play.
"I'm a bit bigger than him but if he needs to win it, he wins it."
How does National North compare with the League above?
"I would say it's pretty similar. It's hard to gauge because we've only played two away games.
"If we play to how we know we can play we could be a lot more dominate in games."
