It appears that "two extremely well-known individuals of high net worth"have launched a takeover bid for Wrexham Football Club.
If approved by the Wrexham Trust, who currently own the club, some £2M will be put into the National League club.
The club has been in fan ownership since 2011.
"There are many hurdles to go through yet before we have a firm proposal to put forward to fans," said director Spencer Harris.
"In terms of any cash injection into a football club and especially at this level, it makes a significant amount of difference."
