The English Football League head of policy, John Nagle, has claim that EFL clubs will suffer losses of around £200M this season if supporters can not watch games in stadiums.
In a leaked letter seen by the Guardian, Nagle wrote “From our various political channels, we now understand that the next 48 hours are likely to be critical in determining the direction of travel on this issue.”
He also asked clubs to continue to lobby for a reopening, arguing that the necessary procedures have been undertaken to make it safe to do so.
The EFL are continuing with 'pilots' this weekend with the number of spectators capped at 1,000.
