Boston 'Suspend' Sale Of Season Tickets

Boston United have suspended the sale of season tickets after news that spectators are unlikely to be able to watch their home games for sometime.

Originally it had been hoped that supporters would be able to watch even if numbers were limited.

"Clearly, we now need to wait and see what happens in light of the Cabinet Office Minister's statement. The sale of season tickets will therefore be suspended," said Boston chairman David Newton.

Boston are moving to a new stadium but it is not yet ready so they are set to play at Gainsborough in the short term.

"We had stated that refunds would not be available if the season did not commence, however that was to cover the scenario where the start of the season was continually delayed and then commenced when the majority of the season costs had been incurred.

"Clearly this is a very difficult time for all clubs as it is now some seven months with very little income and clubs in non-league rely on the income from ticket sales and sponsorship.

"I hope a way forward can be found that not only protects the health of everyone, but also ensures clubs can survive this very difficult period."
