Hereford FC supporter Harry Harris, perhaps best known for his song about Ronnie Radford, has recently written 'The Ballad of Alan Shearer' which fronts a podcast about the Newcastle United legend.

Despite coming from Builth Wells, Harris has followed Shearer's career.

"I'm a big football fan who is in his his 30s, so I grew up with the Keegan era of Newcastle United," said Harry, who now lives in Edinburgh, told the Chronicle.

"They were always one of the big teams that I remember watching, so I already knew about the Everton goal and the story about how he turned down (Manchester) United, so it was a quick one to write.

"I just remember how good a player he was, and what a great era it was for English strikers. I remember Ian Wright couldn't get a game for England because of Shearer and (Teddy) Sheringham."
