FA Council ratify decision to end non-league football below Step 2

The FA Council have rubberstamped a decision to end the seasons from Step 3 and below despite widespread condemnation.

It was announced last month that leagues below the National League would be expunged, meaning no promotion or relegations.

The decision led to many clubs - including Westfields - calling on the FA to have a rethink, but the FA Council have today voted overwhelmingly in favour of it due to the coronavirus epidemic.
