Jordan Cullinane-Liburd Leads The Celebrations At York Last Season When Hereford Won 2-1 |
Hereford are the visitors to Bootham Crescent this evening and in his preparations for the game York manager Micky Cummins feels his team should take advantage of the changes in management and players at Hereford recently.
"They had nine changes from when we played them earlier in the season, and on Saturday they had five changes from then.
"They're trying to find a form. They're chopping and changing. The new manager is trying to put a marker down.
"It's difficult to do midway through the season when you're struggling.
"We have got to take advantage of that, go with that positive mindset and catch them cold early doors, try and finish the game off early."
Tonights game could be the last League fixture under the lights at what has been York's home for the past 88 years. However the same was said twelve months ago when the two teams met.
Last season Hereford won 2-1 at York. Whether Hereford can win tonight remains to be seen. But interim manager Josh Gowling is only taking one game at a time.
"We take each game as it comes, one game at a time. York is next," said Gowling after last Saturday's game against Altrincham.
He feels the Bulls should have won several of their games lately.
"We should be six points better off really.
"When you are down there sometimes you don't get the rub of the green. We're probably not getting that so much and also we just need to keep improving to finally get that result."
