Stansfield's son signs contract at Fulham

Jay Stansfield - the son of former Hereford United striker Adam Stansfield - has signed a professional contract at Fulham.

The 17-year-old has been at Craven Cottage on a scholarship after joining from Exeter City. His fine performances has seen him score 22 times for the under-18s this season before netting on his debut for the under-23s.

And he has been in Fulham's senior squad on two occasions - in a win over Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup and in a Championship match against Charlton.

Adam Stansfield was a very popular player during his time at Hereford from 2004 to 2006 and sadly died from cancer, aged just 31, in 2010.
