| Gateshead's Second Goal |
Gateshead first team coach Michael Nelson gave his reaction to their 2-0 win over Hereford yesterday.
"I think all the games over Christmas probably took their toll on both sides," he said.
"I think it was very flat first half. Both teams were flagging a little bit from the number of games played.
"We managed to stay solid at the back, got the goal, and then second half we came out with a little bit more energy and I think we were quite comfortable in the end.
"I don't think Brad was ever troubled. We probably could have scored more.
"We felt any attack they had was pretty well snuffed out before it got anywhere near Brad but you are always wary of the odd set-piece. We gave a couple of free-kicks away down the side of the box.
"But it was nice to get that second goal and just have that bit of relief before the end."
