Next three games set to define Hereford's season

Hereford's next three games will go a long way to define Hereford's season after the Bulls lost 2-0 at Gateshead today.

Russell Slade's side are 16th in the table, eight points above the drop zone. Blyth Spartans - who are second-from-bottom - have a game in hand on Hereford, which will be played at Altrincham on Tuesday. Therefore, the north east side could just be within five points of the Bulls come next Saturday.

Hereford's next game is at home to Bradford (Park Avenue). The rock-bottom outfit only have 12 points to their name, but one of their three victories was against Hereford back in October. They have only scored 16 goals in their 25 games (although three were against the Bulls) and have shipped a massive 67. On the road, Bradford have one win, one draw and 10 defeats.

Following that game, Hereford go to fourth-from bottom Kettering. However, in the last 10 games, Kettering have gained 17 points, while Hereford have only accumulated six. The Poppies beat Farsley Celtic this afternoon.

The final game of the month for Hereford is a home game against Curzon Ashton, who are third-from-bottom. Curzon beat the Bulls 2-0 last month, but have only won once on their travels.

Get a healthy return from those games and you think any thoughts of a relegation battle would be put to bed and Hereford could try and finish the season strongly. Don't and the pressure really would be on the players and manager.

For reference, the matches in February are: Alfreton (away), Southport (home), York (away), Darlington (home) and Altrincham (home).
