Former Hereford United player Dan Stratford (third from left) has landed a coaching post with West Virginia Athletic.
Stratford became a fresher at West Virginia in 2004 when he arrived from London.
"Incredibly excited to be here, it does feel like a bit of a homecoming
for me," said Stratford.
"Crazy to think that 2004 as a freshman stepped
foot, not just in the United States for the first time but here in
Morgantown, West Virginia. Now, we’ve gone full circle back as a head
coach."
Stratford joined Hereford United in July 2010.' This from BN at the time:
'The much
travelled 25 year old has already playing in the US and Scotland after
graduating from Fulham's Academy and playing in their reserves without
making an appearance in the first team.
'He moved to the States in 2004,
playing as a right winger for West Virginia University then Cape Cod
Crusaders before having a short spell with MLS side DC United.
'He
spent last season at Inverness, alongside former Bulls keeper Ryan
Esson, playing 12 times as they won promotion back to the SPL.'
