In an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester recorded before yesterday's game, Russell Slade spoke about his squad and in particular the lack of a 20 goal striker.
"When you consider our top goalscorer is on four goals, I think that's Vincenti, most weeks now we are coming up against somebody in the opposition who is well into double figures," said the Hereford FC mnager.
"The guy at Kings Lynn, Marriot, has 19 or 20 goals.
"We haven't got that and that's okay if people are contributing steadily from different areas but that is another inconsistancy as well.
"We may score a goal, or Nico may score a couple but he's not a natural goalscorer. Pete will chip in with goals.
"I think it is important for players to chip in with goals but we haven't got that talisman up front who would say there's your 20 goals before a ball is kicked. We don't seem to have that at this moment in time.
"Obviously Danny Greenslade I've not been able to access him but I do feel I've got to the stage now where I've given everybody a bit of an opportunity, perhaps Alex Bray is another one who I haven't seen too much as well because he was injuried.
"By and large I've seen most of the players now and they've had an opportunity.
"What we need to do now is look at the situation where we are and decide which ones are now going to take us forward and where we need to improve because I still fear if we are going to get one of those play-off slots, and that is the objective, then we do need to look at maybe bringing in a few players as well."
