It is being reported that Newcatle United have decided not to make a bid for Hull City's Jarrod Bowen in the January transfer window.
Manager Steve Bruce, who was at Hull before the former Hereford United player made his first team debut, is known to admire Bowen but it has been suggested in the Northern Echo that Newcastle will not be able to compete with the likes of Leicester and Spurs who are also said to be interested in capturing Bowen's signature.
Apparantly former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino had been told about Bowen by scouts and new manager Jose Mourinho may make a bid for the Championship player next month.
Bowen has scored 15 goals this season to date. Last season it was 22.
