Bulls in disarray following another defeat

Man Of The Match Victor Sodeinde Pictured After He Scored Hereford's Goal
Hereford’s woes continue as they were beaten 2-1 at home by mid-table Leamington today.

Defensive frailties again cost the Bulls, with both Leamington’s goals being gifted to them.

Hereford manager Russell Slade made four changes to the side that disappointingly lost 3-1 to Kidderminster on Boxing Day.

Tommy O’Sullivan, Jason Pope, Kelsey Mooney and Victor Sodeinde all came in, with Jared Hodgkiss, Jack Bodenham, Taylor Allen and Reece Styche making way.

Keiran Thomas slotted in at right-back, with Stephen Dawson wearing the captain’s armband.

Hereford looked lively in the early exchanges and twice, Victor Sodeinde went close.

First, his fizzing effort just wide in the fourth minute, while 10 minutes later he was denied by a flying Jake Weaver save. However, despite dominating, Leamington took the lead in the 19th minute.

A corner from Junior English on the left was punched into his own net by Hereford goalkeeper Brandon Hall.

Hereford had a chance to equalise five minutes later when Peter Vincenti’s low drive was saved by the feet of Weaver, while at the other end, Dexter Walters was denied by Hall.

However, Hereford did equalise in the 34th minute when Sodeinde’s effort on the left was enough to beat Weaver.

But far too often this season, the Bulls fail to ‘kill teams off’ and Leamington made them pay by going back in front at the start of the second half.

Yet again, Hereford’s defence were all at sea, allowing Dexter Walters all the time in the world to eventually find Kaiman Anderson, who scored with ease.

And it could easily have been 3-1 just two minutes later. Again, Walters had plenty of time on the ball, but his curling effort just evaded the far post.

At the other end, Sodeinde – who was by far Hereford’s livelist player – whipped in a low cross but the ball evaded all of his teammates.

On 70 Minutes Sodeinde Went Off With Cramp
Slade brought on Alex Bray, Styche and Allen in a attempt to get back into the game, but neither could produce the goods. Does Slade actually know his best XI? Your guess is as good as mine.

The game then petered out and Leamington went home with all three points.

The attendance was a poor 1,930, especially as we’re still in the festive/New Year period.
