This Saturday Hereford FC entertain Farsley, and the game will be watched by six Hereford United players, between them these six have appeared in around 1800 league and cup matches for The Bulls.
First up is Mel Pejic (pictured). The former Stoke City defender boasts the record of 412 Football League appearances for Hereford United.
Second is Stewart Phillips. Still living locally in the city, Phillips was the record Football League goalscorer for the club.
Thirdly sees the return of Keith Hicks. The former Hereford United centre half was at Edgar Street from 1980-1985, and is a regular face at Hereford FC away matches.
The fourth player to return is John Layton. The commanding centre half played for Hereford United during the peak of the old club in 1976/1977, when The Bulls had a season in what is now the Championship.
Up next is Tommy Hughes, former Goalkeeper, and Caretaker Manager. Hughes played for the club in three different divisions of the Football League.
Finally Ian Rodgerson will be back at Edgar Street on Saturday, “Dodge” had two spells at Hereford United as a player from 1985-1988, and again from 1997-2002, he also returned to the club as Physio from 2011-2013.
They will be introduced to supporters at half time.
