Bowen breaks 15-year Hull City scoring record

Jarrod Bowen in action for Hereford United

Jarrod Bowen has become the fastest Hull City player to score 10 goals in a season in 15 years.

The 22-year-old former Hereford United player netted for the Tigers in a 3-0 win over Fulham at the weekend to get into double figures for the campaign in just his 16th game. The last Hull player to get 10 goals by the start of November was Stuart Elliott in the 2003/-04 season. Elliott would go on to score 29 goals during that campaign.

Bowen's rich vein of form has continued to attract interest from leading clubs, with Newcastle United reportedly keeping tabs on him. Former Sunderland and England striker Kevin Phillips has also said that Leeds should try and snap him up in January.
