Dawson goal controversially ruled out

Stephen Dawson thought he had scored on his Hereford debut this evening, but it was bizarrely ruled out.

The Bulls midfielder fired home shortly before half time, but the assistant referee alerted the ref that Peter Vincenti had handled the ball and the goal was disallowed despite the goal having already been given.

Hereford manager Russell Slade was subsequently booked for his protests.

His side were 1-0 down at the time thanks to Zehn Mohammed's 10th minute strike, but managed to go into the break level pegging when Reece Styche converted a penalty after he went down in the box.

A total of 52 minutes were played in the first half.
