Mike Symons Scored Hereford's Fourth Goal |
Goals from Reece Styche,
Jordan Nicholson, Rowan Liburd, Mike Symons and Peter Vincenti saw off their
Cornish opponents, who were blown away in the end after looking lively in the
first half.
Manager Russell Slade started new loan signing Peter Vincenti and Tom Owen-Evans, dropping Jacob Jagger Cane to the bench and leaving out Jared Hodgkiss, who picked up an injury last Tuesday against Gateshead.

Truro took the lead in the
ninth minute. A poor back pass put Bulls keeper Brandon Hall under pressure,
leaving Luke Jephcott the opportunity to tee up Ryan Law to drill the ball
home.
And Truro then went 2-0 up
just seven minutes later. This time, Niall Thompson was on hand to bundle the
ball home after a header crashed against the crossbar.
Hereford got back into the game in the 23rd minute when referee Daniel Locker pointed to the spot after a Truro defender handled the ball. Styche stepped up to confidently dispatch the penalty.
Hereford then forced some set pieces, one of which saw Truro keeper James Hamon having to tip the ball over for a corner.
But the Bulls were lucky
that they went into the break only one goal behind as twice Jordan
Cullinane-Liburd had to clear the ball off the line to prevent Truro from going
3-1 up.
Manager Russell Slade took off Simeon Maye and Styche and brought on Mike Symons and Rowan Liburd.

Hereford played much better
after the break and got the equaliser in the 51st minute.
Good work from Liburd found
Nicholson, who turned before slotting the ball home.
Truro could easily have gone back in front in the 67th minute, but Thompson’s cracking effort crashed against the crossbar.
And that miss proved costly
as Hereford led for the first time just two minutes later. A well-worked free kick
led to Liburd neatly finishing.
Hereford sealed the win with two further goals in the final seven minutes. Symons made it 4-2 from close range after Vincenti’s header was saved,
before the latter converted a penalty after Liburd was fouled in the box.
So, thankfully no midweek trip to Truro and £6,750 in the bank.
