Akwasi Asante opened the scoring in the 20th minute, powerfully converting from eight yards out after an initial shot was blocked before Anthony Dudley fired home a fine second nine minutes later.
It was almost 3-0 just four minutes later when Joel Taylor - who has caused Hereford plenty of problems down the left-hand side - saw an effort saved by Brandon Hall.
Hereford have had chances themselves, notably through Bradley Ash, but have failed to test the home keeper on many occasions.
