So, now we know who Hereford will
face next season and when, we cast our eye over the key games...
FIRST GAME
First up is Spennymoor Town at home (Saturday, August 3). This is
a tough opening test for the Bulls as Spennymoor only missed out on promotion
via a penalty shoot-out defeat to Chorley in last season's Play-off Final. The
north-east side are again expected to go close.
FIRST AWAY GAME
Many fans were hoping that the Gloucester games will be on Bank
Holidays, but instead, Hereford will be facing Marc Richards' former side in
their first away game (Tuesday, August 6). Note that the match will be played
at Evesham United's Jubilee Stadium. Hereford will be hopeful of three points
on the road against a side who are tipped to struggle after making the switch
from National League South. The home game, meanwhile, is on Saturday, March 21.
OTHER GAMES IN AUGUST
Following the Gloucester game, there is another away game on
Saturday, August 10 – however this time, it’s a much longer trip. The Bulls
will make the 350-mile round journey to Norfolk to face their old foes, King’s
Lynn. Another mammoth away trip to Blyth Spartans follows on Saturday (August 17), with a home match against Telford sandwiched in on August
13. The Bulls end the month with two matches over the Bank Holiday weekend –
Brackley at home on August 24, followed by Chester away on the Monday (August
26).
FESTIVE GAMES
Hereford will once again face
Kidderminster over the festive period – but this time, it is reversed. They
will go to Aggborough on Boxing Day, followed by a home game on New Year’s Day.
Sandwiched in between those games is a home match against Leamington on
December 28.
LAST MONTH OF THE SEASON
Hereford start April with back-to-back
home games against King’s Lynn and Chester; with the latter being on Good
Friday (April 10). The Bulls have a potentially tricky trip to Brackley on
Easter Monday (April 13) before hosting Blyth Spartans in their final home
match of the season (April 18). They end the campaign at Boston on April 25.
OTHER AWAY GAMES
A relatively local game at
Leamington will be on Tuesday, September 3, while a seaside trip to Southport takes place on Saturday, October 7 (unless Hereford make it all the way
to the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round). However, anyone who fancies going to
Gateshead or York will have to take the thermals. The Bulls travel to Tyneside
on Saturday, January 4, while the York trip is on Saturday, February 15.
