HUST warmly welcomes the recent new appointments on the HFC board; Andrew Graham who has been appointed Chairman, and new Club Director Helen Byard.
“Andrew is the first HUST Nominated Director to hold the role of Club Chairman on a permanent basis” says HUST Chairman, Richard Tomkins, – so it’s a significant moment for the Trust.”
“I appreciate the opportunity that HUST has provided me, to become a Nominated Director and represent HUST Members and the wider fan base” says Andrew. “As the first HUST Nominated Director Chairman of HFC, I hope that we can feed off the Club's appetite to work as one and all get behind what we are trying to achieve as a Club, pushing forward towards success. Who knows, being stronger together could just give us the nudge towards the Conference and onto the Football League, that we all deserve!”
Andrew was nominated to the Club board by the Trust in 2018. “This was the first time the Trust recruited and selected Club board members via a process agreed by, and open to all HUST members, so it’s pleasing that one of our first appointments has worked out so well” explains HUST Vice Chair, Joanie Roberts. “Andrew is a passionate supporter who has the interests of the Club and supporters firmly at heart and we look forward to working closely with him in further developing the relationship between the Club and the Trust. We also welcome Helen Byard onto the HFC Board - the Club’s first female Director. I’ve not had the pleasure of meeting Helen yet but I’m sure she will bring something new to the HFC boardroom.”
HUST recruits for Nominated Director positions on an annual basis, with one HND position up for reappointment each year.
