Bristol City have appointed Pat Mountain as their goalkeeping coach. He joins them after a spell with Forest Green Rovers.
Former Wales Under 21 international Mountain, who was once at Edgar Street with Graham Turner, said he was delighted to be joining City.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Forest Green Rovers, they are a great club and I would like to thank the chairman, manager and staff for the opportunity, but moving to Ashton Gate was something I wanted to do.
“I am looking forward to working with the coaching staff at Bristol City and helping to develop the goalkeepers further. The club has a reputation for bringing players through the Academy system and I look forward to furthering their development.
“I’ve been to Ashton Gate on a number of occasions with visiting clubs in recent years and I’ve witnessed the redevelopment of the stadium, I’ve seen it come to life. I’ve also seen the plans for the new training ground and when you put that alongside the redevelopment, you see how big a club it is and hopefully I can do my bit to take it forward.”
Mountain, who had to give up being a player at just 27 because of an injury, joined Hereford United in April 2007. He was part-time doing the same role at Cheltenham.
In August 2008 he moved to a full-time position at Wolves.
