Former Hereford United defender Dean Smith and manager Richard O'Kelly helped Aston Villa gain promotion to the Premier League this afternoon.
Goals from Anwar Al Ahazi and John McGinn saw Villa beat Derby 2-1 in the Championship Play-off Final at Wembley - a match deemed to be worth up to £170million.
Smith, who became Villa manager last year after leaving Brentford, played for Hereford from 1994 to 1997, while his assistant O'Kelly managed the Bulls in 2012 after previously serving as Graham Turner's number two.
