Stockport Threaten Invaders With Lifetime Bans

Stockport County have threatened to ban two supporters who invaded their Edgeley Park pitch yesterday.

In the dying minutes of their semi-final second leg Trophy tie Fylde took the lead when two fans ran on the pitch.

However neither were arrested.

Later Stockport released a statement.

"We are embarrassed by the behaviour of the individuals who ran onto the pitch despite the repeated warnings we have issued advising people not to enter the field of play'

"We have been analysing CCTV and other footage in order to identify the two main offenders and we are continuing to liaise with Greater Manchester Police, as this is a criminal matter.

"We are also seeking to impose lifetime bans from Edgeley Park on these individuals."

Fylde manager Dave Challinor gave his view to the Sun.

“You have one idiot who runs on at Birmingham and all of a sudden now everyone thinks it’s clever to do it.

"If someone wants to go on the pitch no matter how many police or stewards you have you aren’t going to stop them."

Hereford pay Stockport on April 6th. The match is all ticket.
