Listen to Head Coach Marc Richards' thoughts after this afternoon's 2-0 win at Spennymoor.
"First fifteen minutes we were all over the place and very fortunate not to conceed but I suppose it just shows you the character of this group because second half I thought it was probably one of our best away performances, dogged, determined, ugly at times but I don't think they had a shot on target second half," said Richards.
"Really pleased and YI think results have gone our way as well so starting to look at top end of the table rather than the bottom.
"Spennymoor's Taylor is top goalscorer in the league. We knew what threat he brings and a lot of our analysis was around how we could nullify the threat that he brought and we didn't deal with it first half.
"I think the big change was Symo coming on. We just thought tactically up this hill to be able to retain the ball a bit better and have an out-ball with Rowan up there as well.
"It was also a realisation that the lads hadn't performed well in the first half yet we were 2-0 up.
"Second half performance really, really pleased. A positive performance in a different way. It wasn't beautiful football, it was very determined, dogged, lots of character out there, blocks in the area but I don't think Matt Yates had a save to make."
Lance Smith scored Hereford's first goal.
"He's just had a bit of banter with me in there saying he's never seen anybody looking at their watch so much in the second half.
"It's been great to get Lance back in. He's started two now so he's getting minutes. He just felt his ankle a little bit so we took him off and put Eliot on."
Hereford remain unbeaten on the road since Kidderminster on New Years Day.
"Those away performances probably weren't there when I first came in now they're materialising into some good points on the road.
"It's a tough league, You only have to look at results today, I think Nuneaton have put four past FC United. You just can't call some of the results that have happened.
"I'm really looking forward to the remaining fixtures and also next season.
"I think we've known the standard of players needed to attract from day one but it doesn't all happen straight away.
"We're slowly rebuilding and signing players and we'll continue to do that in terms of looking for next season."
Keiran Thomas was back in the starting eleven.
"That two game suspension seemed to go on for ever because a few games were called off.
"It was a tough decision, I had to make some hard decisions today in terms of who to leave out but Keiran does give you what you saw today, that bite in there, he loves getting around the park, tackling and winning second balls and being competitve.
"I thought he was excellent today."
