Director Thinks Bulls Will Go Into Next Season Far Better Prepared

A Hereford director believes the Bulls will go into next season far better prepared than they were this season.

Commercial director George Webb has said he's already looking forward to next season and knows the management team will strengthen this side over the summer.

Speaking after Saturday's 2-0 win at Spennymoor, Webb said: "I was concerned even at 2-0. I think that's the league, we were 2-0 down against Darlington and came back to win 4-2. It's never over in this league.

"We put our foot on it. The Head Coach made some great decisions at half time, changed it round with O'Sullivan coming off with that injury. We dictated the second half.

"I think it's the best win and the most satisfying, we've got gradually better as the season has gone on. I know fans have found it frustrating as we haven't been able to bring the players in, but it's difficult during the season and we've had to be patient.

"We've brought a forward in now, he's added another dimension to us now and I know we'll strengthen in the summer. We'll go into next season far better prepared than we were this season.

"We were under prepared coming in this year, but we've got a few decent players on contract and the management team are looking at other players.

After a shaky start up North, the Bulls went on to win the game 2-0 with Lance Smith and Tom Owen-Evans scoring in the first half.

Webb said he had a bad feeling going into the game, but the contrast between Saturday's game and the home game midweek shows the character in the side.

He added: "I had a bad feeling today, after Tuesday night when we didn't really perform and I know all the boys were disappointed with how they performed.

"But they came here today, and I think that shows the character in the side. To come back today. after a couple of long days away - a long journey yesterday and a crash on the motorway - we've put in a performance today against a side in the top four and we've looked really good value for our money.

"We were brilliant, got off the hook a couple of times in the first half but settled into the game and controlled the second half."
