Hereford FC director George Webb has been appointed Interim Chief Executive of UKLPG, the trade association of the LPG industry.
This from UKLPG:
UKLPG, the trade association for the LPG industry, has announced the
appointment of its new interim Chief Executive. Effective from 10th
December 2018 following the departure of Peter Westwood due to mutual
agreement, George Webb will take up the role for an initial period of
six months.
Mr Webb brings much experience to the role having worked at Countrywide LPG for 18 years; he also has close ties to the association, having held the positions of UKLPG Chair and Vice Chair for a total of five years until October 2018. With the full support of the board and backed by an experienced team, George will focus on delivering the output agreed at the UKLPG Annual Conference back in May.
Appointed to lead the trade association at an exciting time for the industry, Mr Webb comments: “UKLPG member companies are gearing up for growth in response to the Government’s plans to support low carbon energy sources as part of its Clean Growth Strategy. I am delighted to be asked to bring my experience to represent the membership and take the organisation to the next level.
“Drawing on all available resources to make the industry a success, I look forward to building on the work of the association to deliver an optimum industry environment in the future”.
UKLPG chair, Matthew Hickin added: “I am pleased that George has agreed to lead UKLPG at this time. With his experience from within the LPG industry and knowledge of the association, George’s expertise will prove invaluable in the next phase of growth for UKLPG and I very much look forward to working with him”.
