We Dominated For The Majority Of The Game Said Captain Smith

Hereford captain Harvey Smith thought the Bulls dominated the majority of today's game.

He spoke to BN after the game.

"I thought we dominated for the majority of the game today," said Smith.

"Little bit of a shaky start, their goal was quite lucky.

"After that we got together and played some good football. Well deserved.

"The penalty was nice to get because I thought the referee wasn't the best. He was giving quite soft free kicks.

"The second goal, we worked on that sort of thing in training, playing down this left hand side and then putting it across. Lloydy finished it at the back post."

Mike Symons was selected as man of the match.

"Since he has come back into the side, he's been a hand-full, he's been a massive help for us.

"He's got that bit of experience as well, couldn't have come at a better time to be fair.

"I think he's played four ninety minutes now, drawn one and won three."

The football is more exciting to watch recently.

"When we've got so many new faces here, the whole thing changes and it's going to take a little bit of time for the lads to gel. It's us learning each others games, learning to play with each other and it's all starting to gel together nicely."

A heavy Christmas programme coming up.

"We've got a tough run of fixtures, quite a few in the top six coming up.

"We're looking forward to it, hopefully we can get as many points as we can and carry on this winning run."

It's a long trip to Bradford next Saturday.

"It doesn't get any easier does it. I think it was third in the Conference South today and then second in the Conference North next week.

"We'll be going into that game with plenty of confidence."

Then it's Kidderminster on Boxing Day.

"Everyone is looking forward to that as well. Good match, good battle."
