Eliot Richards Playing For Hereford At Chester In October |
Earlier this week BN reported that a Chester FC director was very concened about getting new people onto their board.
Andrew Morris's comments are in some ways similar to those of Hereford chairman Ken Kinnersley who has also noted the potential problems of ensuring his club has enough directors.
“I don’t want to be melodramatic over it but I would say it is an
absolutely massive crisis and almost as big as the one we had earlier
this year," said Morris as reported by Chesterlive.
"OK, it’s not financial but the time and the effort that goes
into the board of directors is significant.
“Without the board of directors, if we were to lose additional members there is the possibility that we wouldn’t fulfil our constitution and the club could fold. That is the worst case scenario, we can’t operate without a board of directors.
“We need individuals who have skills and competence. It’s not just about people who have degrees in business and degrees in marketing and all those great and wonderful things, it’s people who have the time and passion and who want to get involved and who can commit to helping our club to improve.
“If they have a specific skillset then that’s absolutely brilliant, let’s get them in. But if it just people who have the time then please put your name forward. If it is joining the working group or the board of directors then you are absolutely welcome. We would really encourage it.”
